Lake Albano
The Lake Albano (Latin Albanus lacus , Italian Lago Albano ) is a small Italy Lake located at approximately 20 km in the south-east of Rome, in the hills of the Mont Albain.
It is long 3,5 km, broad, 2,5 km is 10 km of circumference and 170 m depth.
It is about a Maar of the volcanic system of the Albain mount. On his edges, one notices several monuments, the Castel Gandolfo, residence of summer of the Pape, and a splendid underground channel dug for the water run-off of the lake. The Alba-the-Long antique was located on its edges.
