Lake Alagol

The Lake Alagol دریاچهآلاگل is a lake located at 75 km in the north of the town of Gonbad-e kavus in the province of the Golestan in Iran.

Its coordinates are and its surface is of 9 km 2 .

It is the natural habitat of four threatened species of birds: the curly pelican ( Pelecanus crispus ), the dwarf goose ( Anser erythropus ), the imperial eagle ( Aquila heliaca ) and érismature with white head ( Oxyura leucocephala ).

This lake belongs to a site " Ramsar".
