Lainville-in-Vexin
Lainville-in-Vexin is a common department of the Yvelines, in the area Île-de-France, in France, located at 15 km approximately in the North-East of Mantes-the-Pretty and 11 km in the North-West of Meulan.

The name of Lainville would be derived from the Latin name , Ledis , and of the suffix villa . The common one took the name of “Lainville-in-Vexin” the December 25th 1997.

Geography
Located at the extreme north of the department of Yvelines, bordering on the Val-d'Oise, Lainville-in-Vexin is a rural district, with the broken and strongly wooded territory (more 50 %). It is bordering on Arthies, Wy-known as-Pretty-Village and Avernes in north, of Aincourt and Sailly in the west, of Brueil-in-Vexin and Montalet-the-Wood in the south and of Frémainville and Jambville in the east. The culminating point of Yvelines, 201 m, is in this commune.To the variation of the main roads, the commune is connected by departmental ways to the common neighbors.
In addition to the principal borough, built on a hill, the commune includes/understands several isolated hamlets: Priory, Heathers, Guillaumette.
History
Site inhabited since the Stone Age. A cemetery of the Gallo-Roman time was put at the day in 1875.Parish depending on the counts de Meulan, entered the royal field in 1205.

Culture
- Saint Martin's day Church: Gothic church of style out of Calcareous stone dating from the 12th century. the bell-tower, with the slate roof to four sides, was remade at the 16th century.
- Laundrette of the Coast-Duchy: built in 1876, restored in 1988 stalemate the association of the friends of Lainville-in-Vexin, but which suffered from the bad weather.
