Lahaina

Lahaina (C-W communication hawaïenne: Lāhainā) is a city of the Comté of Maui, Hawaii, with the the United States. According to the Census of 2000, its population rises with: 9118 inhabitants. Its name means “  sun cruel  ” in hawaiien, because of the frequent Dryness S.

History

Of 1820 with 1845, the city was the capital of the Royaume of Hawaii, before this role does not fall definitively on Honolulu, on decision of the king Kamehameha III.
