Lagorai

Wild region of the Trentin, the mountainous chain of Lagorai extends on 70 km between the Panarotta Mount (16 km in the east of Thirty) and Passo Rolle.

The Valsugana in the south, the Valley di Fiemme in north, the Valley di Cembra in the west and the valleys of Primiero and Vanoi in the east constitute the geographical limits of them. The basement is mainly made up of porphyry, eruptive rock made up of quartz and Orthose of the group of the feldspars.

The only way which connects Valsugana and the Valley di Fiemme crosses Passo Manghen.

The Natural park of Panaveggio-Blade di San Martino, intended for the protection of the rare species of birds and mammals, occupies the north-eastern part of the solid mass, around the Colbricon Mount, of Cavalezza and Passo Rolle. Traces of human occupation going up with the Neolithic one discovered in the zone of the lakes of Colbricon.

The pasture of cows, horses and sheep constitutes the traditional human activity. The hiking or with skis crossing Lagorai knows a passion justified by the exceptional beauty of the area.
