Lagartijo
Rafael Molina Sánchez known as “Lagartijo” (“Small lizard”), born with Cordoue (Spain) the November 27th 1841, died with Cordoue the 1900, was a Spanish Matador.
Presentation
He fights two becerros (“calf from 1 to 2 years”) the September 8th 1851, whereas he is old only nine years. For this day, and until its alternate, it has belonged to the Cuadrilla S (“teams”) of the most famous matadors of his time, in particular Pepete and “El Gordito”.It takes the alternate the September 29th 1865 with Úbeda (Spain, Province of Jaén) with like godfather “El Gordito”, vis-a-vis bulls of the Widow of Ontiveros. It confirms its alternative to Madrid the October 15th 1865 with like godfather Cayetano Sanz, vis-a-vis bulls of the Ganadería of Ortíz Official reception.
It withdraws in 1893 the after being regarded as one of largest matadors of its time.
