Ladislas IV (pol. Władysław IV Waza), born the June 9th 1595 and deceased the May 20th 1648, was the son of Sigismond III Vasa and his wife Anne of Austria, king of the Poland since 1632, elected Tsar of the Russia in 1610, king titular of the Sweden jusqu `with 1648.

In 1610, 15 years old, Ladislas is elected Tsar by the Boyard S of Russia, for the period of disorders which followed the death of Boris Godounov. Its election belonged to a plan not successful by his/her Sigismond father to conquer all Russia and to convert its population with Catholicism. However, Ladislas could never reign in Russia because its supports were provisional and depended on a fluctuating internal policy among the boyards. It was satisfied to carry the title, without any capacity, until in 1634. In 1613, Michel III, founder of the dynasty of the Romanov is read by the Zemski sobor (assembled representative).

Ladislas IV was sovereign State lituano-Polish November 8th 1632 until its death in 1648.

It tried to reconcile Protesting S and Catholique S with the conference of Toruń, beat the Moscovites, transformed the peace of Déoulino negotiated by his/her father into perpetual peace and consolidated the position of the Poland in the Baltique after having concluded a truce with the Sweden. He died whereas the cossacks of Ukraine started to rise against their Polish lords.

He marries Cécile Renee of Austria in 1636 then Marie Louise de Mantoue in 1646.
