Lachlan fold belt
The Lachlan fold belt is a geological area of the south-east of the Australia corresponding roughly to the south-east of the News-Wales-of-South and the major part of the state of Victoria.
Of a surface of approximately 300.000 km ², this area was the seat of an intense volcanic activity to the Silurien and the Devonien like with the Carbonifère for the North-East of the area.
It is thus a formed area of volcanic rocks and granitic rocks.
