Labello
labello is the name of a tube of care for lips produces by the company German E Beiersdorf AG. The word labello comes from the Latin words labium (lip) and bellus (beautiful) and which thus means literally " beautiful lèvres". This product is sold under this name by Beiersdorf AG since 1909. The inventor of the labello is Oskar Troplowitz.
The invention of the rotary tube was innovating and remarkable for the time. This principle of making turn the tube to make some leave the product and be able to use it is found today in the use of the cosmetic produced lipsticks and others Today, the word labello is synonymous with care for lips in the majority of the European countries since this product has a position of monopoly, thus the word labello is also employed sometimes to speak about a product of a different mark which has the same use.
There exist various alternatives of labello, for example labello SUN to protect the lips from the sun. The product also exists with various flavors. The tube is then of the color of the fruit which it represents.
Critical
Certain dermatologists disadvise the use of the labello. Indeed, if it is true that the labello softens the lips during a short moment, they end up being drier than they were it before. And thus the reverse of the desired effect occurs. The lips can then become like “accros” with the labello and the person always needs more and more labello. However, the thesis of the dependence to the labello is sometimes refuted, it can usually act only of one question.
