Labelling for the maintenance of the textiles
The labelling for the maintenance of the textiles is presented in the form of labels, often bent on the Textile S. It comprises indications of maintenance or washing in light or symbolized. In France, it is optional.
Symbols
The symbols are the subject of a Normalization ISO 3758. It in particular worked out by the GINETEX (International Grouping for the Labelling of Maintenance of the Textiles) with the international level, and by the COFREET (French Committee of Labelling for the Maintenance of the Textiles) at the French level.
Moreover, these symbols are deposited since 1958 at OMPI (Worldwide organization of the intellectual property) with Geneva.
They have an order of posting. Since 2006, it is the following: washing, bleaching, drying, sharpening, professional cleaning.
Certain symbols are obsolete but necessary to comprehension the old ones of labels.
Washing
The symbol expresses the type of washing, rinsing and drying as well as the maximum temperature.
