A label (of English label meaning " étiquette") is a security company of discs and CD. It is charged to publish and distribute the discs. The label is by extension the Registered trademark by this company.
The four most important labels (Major of the disc: Universal, Sony BMG, EMI and Warner) share the essence of the worldwide market (more than 77% in 2004). Very many small labels or independent labels (even now of Net label S) divide the remainder. An artist also can autoproduire. exp: G-links
