Labège
Labège is a common French, located in the department of the Haute-Garonne and the area the Midday-Pyrenees. Labège belongs to the community of agglomeration of the Sicoval.
Its inhabitants is called Labégeois.

Geography
This commune is located at 12 km in the south-east of Toulouse along the highway of the two seas (A61) in direction of Narbonne. The communes bordering are: Saint-Orens-with-Gameville, Auzielle, Escalquens, Castanet-Tolosan, Auzeville-Tolosane and Ramonville-Saint-Agne.
History
Labège originates in two interpretations. The name of the commune would come from " Berge" in connection with the village built on the banks of the Hers-Death. Another origin would be the name of a Abbaye which was on the commune with the Moyen-âge.
Some Roman traces are visible in Labège. But no village was present on this commune. It was about a crossing point between Baziège and Toulouse. Even with the Middle Ages, the habitat is dispersed. At the 14th century, a seigniory of Labège exists in documents of time. It belonged then to the college Saint Face of Périgord which will remain owner about it during four centuries. The village is formed then around the church as of the end of the Renaissance.
Starting from 1960, Labège accommodates many offices and Laboratoire S on the site of Labège Innopole.

The commune consists of two completely different poles. In the North-West towards Toulouse, is Labège Innopole , the economic center of the commune with shopping malls (Carrefour), a Cinéma Gaumont, restaurants and many companies of which Sanofi-Aventis. In south-east the residential pole with Labège-village is who is the village with his crib, his hall sports, his trade of proximity and the majority of his inhabitants as well as the largest club of game of bowls of the area. These two zones are separated by a green zone.

- the fountains Saint-Sernin and of the Bay-tree are known for their curative water. A legend tells that holy Sernin would have stopped in Labège and gave to the fountain of Saint-Sernin the capacity to cure.
