La vida y los tiempos de Scrooge McDuck
The saxophone tenor is member of register medium of the family of the Saxophone S. This instrument is in Si♭, but can also exist in C. In this case, the instrument is called the Saxophone C-mélody (this instrument has a sound slightly different from the saxophones in Si♭, and is often regarded as another instrument)
Its Tessiture goes from the ♭ on the bottom of the bass clef until the Semi one in top of the treble clef, but they are written as si♭ serious (under the range) with the acute fa♯ (above the range) with the cause of its transposition of a ninth (si♭). The notes in Suraigu are very easy on the tenor and much of musicians of jazz (as of many traditional musicians) are able to assemble an octave above the register known as " normal".
The tenor is very much used in the music pop and the Jazz, but also in the quartet of traditional saxophones and also in the orchestras of harmony.
Interpreters
Among the known players of tenor, one will announce Coleman Hawkins, Ben Webster, Lester Young, Stan Getz, Sony Rollins, John Coltrane (also a follower of the soprano), archie Shepp, Wayne Shorter, Dexter Gordon…
American James Houlik ordered a repertory for saxophone tenor and orchestra with which it carries out a career of traditional soloist very active. In France, Guy Lacour, Jean-Michel Goury or Jean-Yves Chevallier is specialists recognized in the traditional tenor.
