The community of communes of the door of Sundgau is a French inter-commune structure , located in the department of the Haut-Rhin and the area Alsace.

Community Fitting-out
*Elaboration, follow-up and revision of the diagram of territorial coherence of the cantons of Huningue and Sierentz, and of the possible diagrams of sectors, within the framework of the mixed trade-union
*Elaboration of an inter-commune charter of development and installation and implementation of the actions within the limit of Community competences
*Elaboration, follow-up, revision and animation of Gerplan - Plan of management of the rural areas and périurbain
*Étude and realization of collective installations likely to develop tourism: indication, installation of sites, promotion
*Mise in place of a geographical Information system (digitalization of the cadastral documents, data banks computerized)
*Adhésion and participation in work of the Country of Saint Louis and the Three Borders: development of a charter of country, approval of this one instead of common the members and followed within the framework of the procedure of contractualisation with the State and the Area
*Exercice of the right of pre-emption per delegation of common the members on the territory of which a zone of Community activity of interest is in the process of creation

Economic development
*Étude, installation, management, maintenance, marketing and extension of zones of industrial activities, tertiary, commercial, artisanal and tourist of Community interest. For this reason, enters the Community interest all the zones of registered activities to SCOT.
*Actions in favor of economic development. For this reason, enters the Community interest, the implementation or the participation in the various sets of themes (industrial activities, artisanal, commercial, tertiary and tourist), of projects or actions following:
** granting of direct aids and indirect, guaranteed loans (in accordance with the legislation in force) to support the maintenance and the development of employment on the sector
** adhesion, partnership and participation at organizations of assistances to the companies (Southern Alsace Initiative) and to the formation and insertion (SIJ, Local mission, House of employment)
** organization, participation in the operations and the studies in favor of the craft industry and local store (FISAC, ORAC, days " doors ouvertes") sector
** promotion of the local economic development of all the zones of activities located on the Community territory
** creation and management of seedbeds of companies, workshops, factory-relay
** realization of actions of promotion and communication in favor of the local tourist products and the local inheritance (paths of discovered)
** creation and management of an inter-commune tourist bureau or adhesion with an tourist office on a Three Border and Country scale of Saint Louis.

Optional competences

Protection, development of the environment and support for the actions of control of the energy demand
*collecte, transport and treatment of the household waste and assimilated
*gestion of the selective collection and actions for the valorization of the household waste and compared
*creation and management of equipment to inter-commune vocation in the field of waste (dechettery, sites of green waste, points of voluntary contributions)
*étude and completion of projects with vocation of development and environmental protection (daters, actions of communication and sensibililation)
*étude and realization of operations aiming at reducing the volume of household waste to the source
*animation, sensitizing on the actions of Gerplan and the plans landscapes
*creation, maintenance, realization, coordination and promotion of an inter-commune network of paths of discovered
*renovation of the small rural inheritance exclusively limited to the operations of less than 15.000 € (net of tax)
*soutien with the actions of control of the energy demand. Is considered of Community interest the financial support with the actions and equipment aiming at limiting the consumption of energy in the buildings and works public
*creation, management, maintenance of the cycle tracks appearing in the departmental diagram published thus that the cycle tracks of Community interest. Are of Community interest, the sections to realize in order to establish a junction between two communes or the cycle tracks already existing and registered with the diagram.
Social actions of Community interest. The exercise by the Community of common Carries of Sundgau of a competence as regards action in direction of youth, of the elderly and the handicapped people meets an aim of local dynamism and social integration.
*organization of the recreational centres without lodging (CLSH) during school vacations. Common the remainder qualified for the organization of the CLSH and extra-curricular Wednesdays and for the school periods
*organization of the vacation centres and of leisures
*creation and management of the relay maternal assistants of the Door of Sundgau

Life of the
communes * In order to mutualiser the means, to lead to economies of scale and to propose an organization rational and identical to the communes for certain services, the communes delegate to the Community the Common ones Carries of Sundgau their competences for the achievements of the following operations:
** regular maintenance of the public lighting of the communes and installation of the illuminations at the time of the festivals of end of the year
** realization of regular sweeping campaigns on the whole of the roadway system delivered to the circulation public and located in agglomeration
** realization of the regular operations of clearing out of the stools siphons and the desanding pools
** organization of services in direction of common the members in particular including acquisition and the setting to provision of materials being able to be the subject of a shared use (banks of material associative and technical), negotiation of contracts interesting whole or part of common the members (control of the adventure playgrounds, diagnosis asbestos, restoration…)

Cooperation action and of representation
*la community can adhere at a mixed trade-union by simple deliberation of the Community council, in the majority absolute of the votes cast, in order to entrust to him the exercise of one or several of its competences
collective *representation of the communes by the adhesion of the community of communes to any association (including transborder), any grouping of local government agencies and public corporations for the realization of actions on a scale larger than the Community perimeter.
