LaSalle is a district of the Ville of Montreal.

History

The district of LaSalle was named as such because this seigniory belonged to Rene Robert Cavelier of the Room.

Geography

This district is located at the south-west of the island of Montreal. It is delimited in the south and the west by the Fleuve the St. Lawrence and the districts of Verdun, Lachine. Several islands, as the island in Hérons form part of it. The Rapides of Lachine cross it.

Its surface is of 16,4 km and its population, of 73.457.

Policy

The mairess of the district is Manon Barbe. The advisers of the city are Ross Blackhurst, Vincenzo Cesari, Richard Deschamps, Alvaro Farinacci, Laura Palestini and Lise Zarac.

Transport
