The toponym Laàs is mentioned in 1205 (titles of Bérérenx), and appears in the forms Feels-Bertemiu Laas and Las (1384, notaries of Navarrenx), the nau of Laas (1538, reformation of Béarn) and Làas (1863, topographic dictionary Basque Béarn-Country).
History
Paul Raymond note that in 1385, Laàs counted 20 fires and depended on the Bailliage of Navarrenx.
