Laà
The Laà (or Làa , Lar , Laar , Larr ) is a left affluent of the Gave of Pau, with Holy-Suzanne (Orthez), between the Geü and the Gave d' Oloron. One gives to his course the higher name of Larrus .
Etymology
Laà , in the past Lar , is the evolution Gascon Basque larre “moor”. Its valley was called Larbaig .
Larrus is the same affected name of the diminutive suffix - CPU .
The commune of Laà-Mondrans owes him its name.
Geography
The Laà is born in the east from Ogenne-Camptort, then runs out in the North-West towards Orthez.
