LISA Ekdahl

LISA Ekdahl is a Chanteuse of Jazz born the July 29th 1971 with Stockholm in Sweden; it grew in a small town called Mariefred.

Biography

Being child, LISA liked much the Grenouille S. One can even see it with a frog in the hands with the back of its third Swedish album. When it was younger it did not think of becoming musician, it wanted to be a football player.

It is a neighbor who taught him the guitar when it was still child. He also took it along to a concert of Bob Dylan.

Later, it decided to study the Musique and at 18 years it moved in Stockholm where it started to sing the Jazz with the group The Peter Nordahl Trio. At that time, it had not still made any recording but only in the concerts with the group. While she sang jazz, LISA started to write its own musics and words in Swedish. Some of these first songs can be heard on its first album LISA Ekdahl . “ Sanningen I vitögat ” is one of very first.

She signed its first contract when one asked him to sing for the Swedish artist Toni Holgersson. During a pause, she sang one of her own songs and the producer of Toni proposed to him to make an album with his songs.

Its first album left in 1994 and had an enormous success in Scandinavia. LISA was then 22 years old. Since, LISA continued to write music and to sing jazz, pop and Bossa nova.

Its sixth album had an important success in France, where its concert with the Olympia proceeded over 3 days with closed counters.

She is married with Salvadore Poe, musician South American whom she knew by surveying the the Himalayas, since 1999; it composes some of its songs.
