LCD Soundsystem

LCD Soundsystem is the solo project of the producer James Murphy, cofounder of the label Dance-punk DFA Records. The music of LCD Soundsystem can be described like a mixture of dance music, Punk rock'n'roll, with elements of Disco and other styles.

History

During the concerts, Murphy is accompanied by Tyler Pope (!!!, Out Hud) with low, Phil Mossman with the guitar and the percussion, Nancy Whang with the keyboard and Stalemate Mahoney with the battery.

LCD Soundsystem drew the attention of the public with its first individual, " Losing My Edge". Murphy later left an double album named LCD Soundsystem in February 2005. The first disc of the album contains new music and the second album contains new versions of titles already left into individual. The title of opening " Daft Punk Is Playing At My House " gain the popularity of the public quickly and enters Signal 40 to the the United Kingdom in March 2005.

In June 2005, the group records a resumption of the piece " Slowdive" of Siouxsie And The Banshees, for the face-B of individual the " Infiltrator" disco music;.

The December 8th 2005, the group receives nominations for two Grammy aways, electronic music category, for their album éponyme, and in the " category; dance" for " Daft Punk Is Playing At My House".
