Léopold Dion
Léopold Dion (born in 1921 - deceased the November 17th 1972) is a sex criminal and a Serial killer which prevailed with the Quebec in the Années 1960. It was called “the Monster of Bridge-Red”.
Its first doubled sexual assault of an attempted murder was made on an young woman of Bridge-Red. Léopold Dion and its brother raped and stabbed the young woman on the railway connecting the row small Capsa to the village of Bridge-Red. It was at that time a current way used by the residents of this row to go to straight line to the village. It was on the spot abandoned. The two Dion brothers believed it dead. She survived this aggression, but had kept many after-effects, as well physical as morals.
Biography
He deceived 21 boys sexually. Among those, it killed four out of them. He persuaded his victims while being made pass for a photographer.Its first victim of homicide was Guy Luckenuck, a 12 year old child, that Dion persuaded by taking a series of stereotypes with an old camera without film, before claiming to want to continue in another decoration. Dion then strangled Luckenuck, before burying it.
May 5th, 1963, Dion crosses on its way Alain Carrier, eight years, and Michel Morel, ten years. He reiterates his stratagem and takes along them in its car in direction of a building dilapidated to Saint-Raymond-of-Portneuf. In Alain, it makes mine play prisoner to attach it in the country cottage. Once young person of both controlled, Dion deals then with Michel whom it brings outside. He asks the child to undress himself and strangles it with a garrot, before returning to the country cottage and choking the second child.
May 26th, 1963, it makes the meeting of Pierre Marquis. The 13 year old child also lets himself mislead to him by the promises of the alleged photographer. They are found with two steps of a dune, the same one which is used as tomb in Guy Luckenuck since a little more than one month. Once again, Dion requires of its victim to pose naked. The child accepts, but when Dion tries to attack it, it struggles before yielding and being made strangle.
Dion, which enjoyed a release on parole then to have violated a Enseignant E several years before, is stopped by police the shortly after its last murder. It is the description which of him another boy gives that it approached, but which did not give following its advances, which made it possible to put the hand to him at the collet. Imprisoned, Dion spent one month before acknowledging, with force details, its crimes with the investigators.
Defended by the criminal jurist Guy Bertrand, Dion was finally marked only of one murder, that of Pierre Marquis, for lack of evidence for the others. April 10th, 1964, the judge Gerard Lacroix condemns it to be hung.
Its capital punishment will be commuted to life imprisonment on intervention of the Prime Minister for Quebec of then, Jean Lesage. November 17th, 1972, he is stabbed with died by a fellow-prisoner named Normand “Lawrence of Arabia” Champagne (source: File Murder , No 1).
