Léo Hamon
Léo Hamon , born Goldenberg, is a French politician and academic. Born the January 12th 1908 with Paris, it is deceased there the October 27th 1993.
Biography
Wire of exiled Russian, it achieves studies at the University of Paris and the Sorbonne. Doctor in right, he becomes lawyer at the Court of Appeal of Paris. He takes share with Resistance under the pseudonym “Hamon”. In August 1944, he is vice-president of the Parisian Committee of Release and is the craftsman of the trève concluded with the Germans under the aegis of the consul of Sweden Nordling so that Paris does not burn.He sits at the provisional Consultative Assembly, then with the Conseil of the Republic of 1946 with 1958. He is first of all member of MRP but in 1954 because of its opposition to CED is excluded from it. It sits then as attached to the group of Independent of Overseas while joining the Parti the young Republic, of Christian socialist orientation. It expresses with the Sénat a great interest for the questions of France of Overseas. He is elected appointed UDR of the the Essonne in 1968, then becomes Secretary of State in the government Jacques Chaban-Delmas. Léo Hamon is the government spokesman between the June 20th 1969 and the May 15th 1972 then becomes Secretary of State in charge with the Participation and the profit-sharing until the July 5th 1972. It belongs to the left of the gaullism and is one of the leaders of the democratic Union of work (UDT) then of the republican Initiative and Socialist.
He is the author of the Revision, true fidelity , ED. Stock, 1974 when it develops the doctrines gaullist (assertion of the Nation and the State, will of modernization, attachment to the democracy, responsibility for the State in the economy and the social one) like “jansénisme with secularity - jansénisme and the origins of the dechristianization” House of the Social sciences, 1987. It published memories under the title Vivre its choices (Robert Laffont, Vécu, 1991).
Léo Hamon was general adviser of the Seine and city council man of Malakoff. He was professor with and Political science the Faculty of Law of Dijon (1959) where he founded the Center of Study and Research Policies (CERPO), of Orleans (1966) and of Paris (1968) and succeeds, with more than 50 years, the aggregation of right. He is one of the founders of the Département of political science of the Sorbonne, in 1969.
Lastly, it was one of the first French academics (with Raymond Aron) to initiate the searchs of strategy and defense with its course of doctorate (become the work strategy against the war , Paris, Grasset, 1966) professed with and political science the Faculty of Law of Dijon (Université of Burgundy).
