The lémur catta or maki mococo is a Lémuriformes pertaining to lemurs, it is the only one representing Lemur .
The lémurs catta are recognizable with their striped tail of 14 black and white rings.
One finds them only on the island of Madagascar.
This Malagasy lemur faces the other males with blows of stenches released by its glands. That which been able more gains and sets out again with the favors of the female! The lémurs catta are placed on the red list of IUCN because the destruction of their natural habitat tends to make them disappear from their last refuges.
The makis mococo are the most popular lemurs in the zoos of the whole world, they reproduce there easily.
