Léguman

Léguman is a French Televised series in twenty episodes, created by Roland Topor and diffused within the framework of the series Téléchat .

Synopsis

According to the presenter of the emission, Léguman would be a “weak serial” that the vegetables look at when the door of the refrigerator is closed.

This mini-series (three seasons of five, nine and six episodes) puts in scene a Super-héros made up of Légume S:

Its head is a Citrouille with eyes and a mouth.
Its arms is two Carotte S.
Its leg S are thimbles with giant Garden peas.
On its Twisted, blue, is drawn a escutcheon with a Radis.

Léguman has as an enemy of the objects which become insane, a such Aspirateur, a Mixeur or a pants. It has sometimes business with allegorical adversaries, like Death.

Unfolding is each time the same one: a scene presents the malicious one to us acting, with a music in bottom. The narrator describes us then the scenario and finishes by a sentence of the type: “Are the carrots cooked? Not! ”. Arrive then Léguman which fights against the malicious one, the met with ground and raises the arms of a triumphing air, while the credits resound.

Comments

Turned with obviously ridiculous means, in Super 8 with the dull colors and calling upon a humor particularly shifted, Léguman gives an effect of amateur production. That is accentuated by the fact that the characters are played by children. As for the sound recording, the latter is non-existent, the sound being added with the assembly. The tone is voluntarily idiotic and parodies the series live Japanese woman ( Sentai ) of the time. The melody line of the song is very near especially to that of Spectreman , the special effects of the series also.

It is amusing to note that the series, and especially its hero, frightened a big number of small children. The face enough terrifying drawn on pumpkin being used to him as head is not there for nothing. It is notorious however to specify that the children between 8 and 10 who met this series of are not traumatisés.

Léguman recently knew an renewed interest on Internet, probably related to the exit in DVD of the series Téléchat .

To note that the group of Hip-hop including all taxes dedicated a song to Léguman.
