Wasselonne was formerly a city surrounded by ramparts, one can see still there a famous tower into perfect state overhanging the center town. the city is setting up a policy to renovate its ramparts. work will finish in 2009, normally!

  • the paper mill : About the middle of the 18th century, Charles Pasquay inherits a mill with flour, a mill with oil and a mill with paper. His/her son adds a wallpaper factory to it. About 1825, the activities of paper are replaced by a brickyard, a spinning mill of wool and a lime factory. Currently, the field of 15 hectares always belongs to the family Pasquay and of many vestiges still visible (and are classified with the historic buildings: the entry is 18th and recently renovated, the house of Master (1770-1780), the ruins of the briquettery and lime factory, the park, etc the complex was served by a station on the old railway line Molsheim - Saverne, currently private property.
