Kyzylorda

Kyzylorda (Kazakh Қызылорда) is the capital of the area of Kyzylorda to the Kazakhstan. Kyzylorda counts 157.400 inhabitants.

Its origin goes back to 1820 when the Khanat de Kokand builds on its site a called fortress Ak-Mechet (the white mosque). This one, ordered by Yakoub Beg, is taken in 1853 by the Russian troops of the general Vassili Alexeiev Perovski. Re-elected Strong Perovsky then Perovsk in the honor of the general, it takes again the name of Ak-Machet in 1920. In 1925 the city is renamed Kyzyl-Orda what means into Kazakh " Rouge" city;.
