Kyōroku era
Kyōroku (享禄) is a era of Japan according to the era Daiei and preceding the era Tenbun. The Kyōroku era lasted of 1528 with 1532. The reigning emperor was called then Go-Nara.
The new era was issued the 20th day of the 8th month of Daiei 8. Nevertheless Go-Nara had been already emperor for two years following the death of the emperor Go-Kashiwabara (June 9th 1526) and will be officially crowned only in 1536.
Origin of the name Kyōroku
According to the I Ching: 居天位 享 天 禄 is That which sits on the imperial throne receives the favor of the sky?

- Odai No Kata, mother of Ieyasu Tokugawa: Kyōroku Gannen (1528) - died Keichō 7 (1602);
- Kenshin Uesugi, general: Kyōroku 3, 1st month, 21e day is February 18th 1530 - died Tenshō 6 (1578).
