The new kwanza adjusted (or often named kwanza simply, code ISO AOA ) is the Monnaie of the Angola. Since the year 2000, new the kwanza ajustado replaced the old new kwanza (AON) ata rate of 1 per 1000.

- 1990-2000: new kwanza , code AON
- 1995-1999: kwanza readjusted , code AOR , used in a transitory way parallel to new the kwanza above.
- since 2000: kwanza , code AOA , replacing the readjusted kwanza, and new the kwanza abolished during the year 2000.
The currency of exchange in the country is the $US. One should not leave only one kwanza the country. In May 2005, 1 $US is exchanged between 86 and 89 kwanza.
