Kwangmyongsong
Kwangmyongsong is the first Artificial satellite North-Korean whose name means " the brilliant luminous star ") (Hangeul 광명성, Hanja 光明星, Romanisation revised Gwangmyeongseong, romanisation McCune-Reischauer Kwangmyŏngsŏng).
The North Korea announced the launching of Kwangmyongsong on September 1st, 1998, since the site of the village of Musudan, in the province of the Northern Hamgyong.
The satellite was launched since the launcher Taepodong-1. According to the media North-Korean, the Kwangmyongsong satellite would have completed its hundredth revolution on September 13rd, 1998. It would transport " song of the general Kim It-sung " and " Song of the general Kim Jong-il ".
The command of air defense American questioned the existence of the satellite, fault of having been able to detect it visually, by radar, or to have been able to collect radio signals. The American specialists estimate that the upper floor would have broken down shortly after the placing in orbit.
