Kushal Stake Singh

Kushal Pal Singh is an Indian head of undertaking , owner of the group Delhi, Land & Finance, first property developer in India.

He belongs to the group of the greater fortunes of the World.

Biography

Kushal is resulting from a family of peasants of the commune of Gurgaon located at a score of kilometers of the capital New Delhi.

In the Years 1950, it spends nine years in the pretigieux regiment Deccan Horse Cavalry, until its Mariage arranged with the girl of the property developer who had founded DLF in 1946.

It has two children:

  • a son, Rajiv, born in 1960, vice-president of group DLF.
  • a girl, Pia, in load of the part entertainment (cinemas, sports complexes…) and of the shopping malls of group DLF.

Its career

Kushal Stake Singh, leaves the army and enters the group DLF after its marriage with the girl of the founder in the Années 1960. Since his creation the promoter had with his credit some residences in the residential districts of New Delhi, but the Indian State, very interventionist at the time, barred the road with the property developers. At the request of his/her father-in-law, Kushal tries to reorientate the company towards the sale of batteries of car, but it was a semi-failure.

Meeting by chance, at the time of an automobile breakdown, Rajiv Gandhi, grandson of Nehru and wire of Indira Gandhi, it succeeds in convincing it of the interest for the India to make it possible to the property developers to be able to develop. In 1975, under the pressure of Rajiv Gandhi, the law prohibiting the agricultural land acquisition to make another thing of it that agricultural surfaces is abolished.

However, the task is complicated because the agricultural land is in general of small surfaces and can belong to several members of the same family. Kushal must convince each owner, one by one. Kushal which is a very patient man will maintain the very close friendly relations with the maximum of agricultural owners of land around the capital: it attends the marriages, plays the mediators in the conflicts, renders services to those which need some and becomes their bienvaillant friend. This way of acting, enables him in a score of years to buy 1.400 hectares in the suburbs of Delhi. It applies also this same policy in about thirty big cities of the country like Bangalore, Hyderâbâd, Noida, Jaipur and Chennai.

Since 1975, the group DLF, built more than 20 million m ² in the real estate and has 52 million in project of them. In 2006, the group made a benefit of 19,4 billion rupees (273 million euros) and emploit more than eighteen thousand people.
