Kurt Sanderling
Kurt Sanderling is a Leader German, born the September 19th 1912 with Arys in Eastern Prussia
Biography
It leaves Germany in 1936 because of its Jewish origins and settles in Soviet Union, where it works with Moscow, Kharkov, then as of 1942 with Leningrad, initially as assistant of Evgeni Mravinski, then as chief with whole share. In 1960, it settles in GDR and takes the head of the Berliner Sinfonie-Orchester . After the fall of the Wall, it also directs the orchestra of Stuttgart. It takes its retirement of the Pupitre in May 2002.
His/her son Thomas Sanderling, resulting from a first marriage, is also leader while Stefan Sanderling and Michael Sanderling, her two sons born of a second marriage, is leader and violoncellist, respectively.
Repertory
As leader, affectionate Sanderling slow tempos and a certain sentimentalism in the expression, repurchased by an impeccable technique and a great probity with respect to the text. Its vision of the Symphonie S of Chostakovitch, which it had well-known particularly, is of all, perhaps, more moving, because most lyric. Sanderling had, moreover, the privilege to meet the Finnish type-setter personally Jean Sibelius. In Russia, it contributed, with chiefs like Evgueni Mravinski and Guennadi Rojdestvenski, to make known and appreciate its work. In East Germany, it will realize, later, an integral of the symphonies of Sibelius of an abrupt size and without concessions.
