Kurt Daluege

Kurt Daluege, September 15th, 1897 October 1st, 24th and th 1946 1, member of NSDAP since 1922, S Oberstgruppenführer and Generaloberst of the Ordnungspolizei , Guard of Bohemia-Moravie after the death of Reinhard Heydrich.

Youth and First World War

Kurt Daluege, wire of a Prussian civil servant was born in a small town from High Silesia, Kreuzburg on September 15th, 1897 1.

During the First World War, in 1916, it joined the German army east is useful in the 7th regiment of the Guard, on the face of the West. It seriously wounded (recognized handicapped to 25%) and is on several occasions decorated there for its bravery.

The Twenties

S and police officer

In July 1930, with the personal request for Hitler, Daluege leaves SA and rejoins the rows of the S, with the rank of Oberführer . At this time, the S is small organization depending on SA of low numerical importance. It is mainly charged with espionner SA and the political opponents with NSDAP. In 1931-1932, it is named Führer of IIIe section S of Berlin. It again proves its honesty with Hitler while being opposed to the attempt at takeover of SA within NSDAP, carried out in 1931 by Stennes. For the second time, he affirms himself like a Kampfgenosse , which ensures to him the protection of Hitler throughout its career.

In 1932, Daluege becomes member of the Prussian Parliament; in November of the same year, he is elected, in the district of Berlin - Western, appointed with the Reichstag , seat which he preserves until 1945.

At the same time, Hermann Göring names it with the Prussian ministry of the interior, in load of the police force. In 1936, all the police force German is reorganized by the Minister of Interior Department of Reich, Wilhelm Frick.

They integrated into the S and placed under the direct authority of Heinrich Himmler, Reichsführer S and Chef der Deutschen Politzei . Daluege and the Ordnungspolizei is thus not integrated into the RSHA directed by Reinhard Heydrich, in spite of the efforts of this one.

From 1936 at the end of the war, Daluege is leading Ordnungspolizei , which gathers all the German regular police forces in uniform, except for the military police force. It reaches the rank S Oberstgruppenführer and of Generaloberst der Polizei . After the death of Heydrich, it is one of the persons in charge of the destruction of the villages of Lidice and Ležáky, before becoming Protecteur of Bohemia-Moravie.

Disease, arrest and execution

In May 1943, Daluege undergoes a serious heart attack, from which it only goes back very partially. In August, it is discharged from its responsibilities, and it passes the remainder of the war in a property which to him was offered Adolf Hitler.

In May 1945, Daluege is arrested by the American troops with Lübeck and is imprisoned with Nuremberg until its extradition in Czechoslovakia, in September 1946.

Condemned to died for war crimes by a Czechoslovakian court, it is carried out by hanging in Prague on October 24th, 1946 1.
