Kupang
Kupang is the capital of the province Indonesia nne of Nusa Tenggara Eastern. It is located in the Western part of the island of Timor. Its population is approximately 450.000 inhabitants.
It is the seat of a archbishop's palace.
Kupang is also the name of the Kabupaten (department) which surrounds the city but constitutes a distinct administrative entity.
The airport of Kupang is located at Eltari and according to the Code list AITA of the aéroports/K has as a code KOE.
History
Kupang is old a principality. The current prince continues to be a personality respected by the local population.
