Kuntzig

Kuntzig is a common French located in the department of the the Moselle in Lorraine.

Geography

The village is located at four kilometers in the south-east of Yutz.

History

It is towards 792 that the name Kuntziago appears for the first time. This name evolved/moved according to the times:

Cunzcun at the XII century
Cunzich towards 1370
Kuntzich in 1414
Kanzich in 1681
Quinzy and Kuntzick at the XVII century

At the beginning of the XX century, the village increases bus of the workshops belonging to the SNCF are built between Yutz and Kuntzig. Many workmen then come to install their family with Kuntzig.

Since 1996, the commune accommodates a recreational center (the C.L.A.S.) proposing an extra-curricular reception, structured CLSH, activities and exceptional demonstrations.
