Kunlun time
Kunlun the time (Chinese 崑崙時區) was a Time zone which existed in China between 1912 and 1949.
It corresponded to the average solar hour with the Longitude 82° 15 ' E, that is to say 5 H 30 min in advance compared to GMT. It drew its name from the mounts Kunlun which mark part of the border between China and the India.
The République of China divided the country into 1912 in five time zones (GMT+5: 30, GMT+6, GMT+7, GMT+8 and GMT+8: 30). Kunlun the time, most Western, related to following administrative divisions:

west of the province of Sinkiang (currently part of the Xinjiang);
- west of the area of Tibet (currently part of the autonomous region of the Tibet).
After the Chinese Civil war, in 1949, the Communist party took the control of continental China and the government of the République of China was exiled in Taiwan. The Popular republic of China establishes single time zone GMT+8 (from now on UTC+8) for the totality of the country.
