Kuk Sool Won

The Kuk Sool Won is a Martial art created in Korea in 1961 by Kuk Its Nim. This one settled in 1974 with the the United States of America, with the assistance of Kenneth Duncan, its first American pupil. After various stays through the country, it establishes the seat of the new worldwide association of Kuk Sool to San Francisco, California, in February 1975.

In October 1991, the School of the seat of the worldwide association of Kuk Sool moves from San Francisco to Houston, with the Texas. This removal results from the fast proliferation of the clubs and the schools of Kuk Sool Won through the United States, Kuk Its Nim thinking that a central place would be more convenient for the instructors and the students of Kuk Sool Won everywhere in the United States and the Canada, thus giving access to the formation the School of the national headquarter. In 1992, Kuk Sool Won counted already nearly 100 schools in the United States.

Founder of Kuk Sool Won, Kuk His Nim continues to travel actively to the United States and to promote it abroad, as well as Korean traditional martial arts.
