Kui

Kui (Chinese: zh 奎宿, pinyin: kuí xiù) is a lunar cabin of the Chinese Astronomie. Its star référente (i.e. that which delimits the left border of the cabin) is ζ Andromedae. On the right, the cabin is delimited by the star β Arietis (Sheratan). The cabin occupies an approximate width of 16 degrees. The Astérisme associated with the cabin contains, in addition to this star, fifteen other stars, forming an arc of circle roughly. Detailed investigations make it possible to draw up a rather precise list of it:

  • ν Andromedae,
  • π Andromedae,
  • δ Andromedae,
  • ε Andromedae,
  • 65 Piscium,
  • ζ Andromedae,
  • η Andromedae,
  • ψ Piscium,
  • χ Piscium,
  • φ Piscium,
  • ν Piscium,
  • 91 Piscium,
  • τ Piscium,
  • 82 Piscium,
  • β Andromedae,
  • μ Andromedae.

In Chinese Astrology, this cabin is associated with the group of the white Tigre of the west.
