Kuhmoinen
Kuhmoinen is a municipality center-south of the Finland, in the area of Finland-Power station.
The commune, located out of western bank of gigantic the lake Päijänne, largely wild and is depopulated. One finds there in particular the national park Isojärvi. The common one counts in very nearly 120 lakes, which cover 29% of its total surface area.
The small administrative center is the only true concentration of population. It is crossed by the main road 24 between Lahti and Jämsä, about with équidistance of the 3 big cities of the center-south of the country (Lahti 80 km, Tampere 83 km and Jyväskylä 90 km). Helsinki is to 183 km.
Because of its spectacular landscape, the commune was appraisal of the artists as of the end of the 19th century (the painter Pekka Halonen made several stays there). It is today a fortified town of estival tourism with in particular 2.800 houses of holidays, as much as permanent inhabitants.

- In central Finland, Jämsä in north and Päijänne Luhanka in the North-East.
- In the Päijät-Häme, Padasjoki in the south and still beyond the big lake Sysmä in the east.
- in the Pirkanmaa, Kuhmalahti in south-west and Orivesi in the west.
