Ku-Maloob-Zaap

Ku-Maloob-Zaap is complex layers of Mexican Pétrole, located offshore in bay of Campeche, near Cantarell. The Pemex carries out important work there aiming at deploying the injection of Azote in the layer, with the manner of what had been made in Cantarell. The production should thus pass to 800.000 barrels/days from here 2011, against 300.000 in 2005 and 400.000 in 2006. This rise of production compensates for part of the decline of Cantarell, even if the oil of Ku-maloob-Zaap is even heavier than that of cantarell. According to Pemex, complex KMZ will decline in its turn as from 2011.
