Ksar Hellal is a city of the the Tunisian Sahel located at 17 kilometers in the south of Monastir.
Attached administratively to the Governorship of Monastir, it constitutes a municipality of 39.991 inhabitants. The latter, created the September 23rd 1948, has as limits the Forêt S of Sayada in the east and the towns of Moknine in the south, Touza in the west like Lamta, Bouhjar, Bennen and Bodher in north.
Its economic main activities are the Commerce (450 companies) and the Textile industry (155 companies employing approximately 4700 employees including one important factory of fabric clothes industry Denim).
The March 2nd 1934, Ksar Hellal enters the history of Tunisia. It is indeed here that Habib Bourguiba holds the congress founder of the Néo-Destour which will carry out the fight for the independence of the country.
