Krystian Zimmermann

Krystian Zimmermann , born the December 7th 1956 with Zabrze, is a Pianiste and Leader Polish, residing in Suisse.
Biography
He studied with the academy of music of Katowice with Andrzej Jasinski. Its career was launched when it gained, at 18 years, the first price of the prestigious Concours Chopin of Warsaw in 1975.It withdraws then circuit pianistic to enrich its repertory.
Especially recognized as specialist in Chopin, it is also a large interpreter of Brahms. Particularly demanding as for its own recordings, it has, on several occasions, makes withdraw sale of the recorded discs (waltz of Chopin, sonatas and ballades of Brahms) which had however caused the enthusiasm of the critic and the public.
It gives each year only one about fifty concerts throughout the world. For a few years, he has travelled with his own piano and is interested of close with the technical possibilities of the instrument. He has at his place his own studio of recording, which does not push it therefore multiplying the discs (less than one every two years). As a leader, it in particular recorded the two concertos of Chopin, while directing the orchestra since the piano the made-to-order of the virtuosos of the 19th century.
