Kroaz of
The Kroaz of the , whose name means " Cross noire" into Breton, was one of the very first Drapeau X used by the Bretons. It is the oldest known Breton flag.
One allots his origin to the Third crusade (1188). At the time of the First crusade, the Basileus Alexis Ier Comnène made cut in its coats of crimson of the Red Crosses which it made distribute to the pilgrims so that they can cross the empire bizantin without encumber. This cross was quickly raised by the crusaders:
