Krasnoslobodsk

Krasnoslobodsk (in Russian Краснослобо́дск) is a town of Russia, located in republic of Mordovie, on left bank of the river Mokcha, an affluent of the Oka. Krasnoslobodsk is with 107  km in the west of Saransk, the capital of Mordovie. At the time of the census of 2002, the population was of: 10843 inhabitants.

Krasnoslobodsk is mentioned for the first time in 1571 and received the official statute of city in 1780. It is the chief town of the Raïon of Krasnoslobodski.
