Kraljevo , in Serb Cyrillic Sr Краљево, is a city and a municipality of Serbia located in the district of Raška (Rascie). Kraljevo is the administrative center of the district. In 2002, the city counted: 57411 inhabitants and the municipality of which it is the center: 121707.

In the surroundings of Kraljevo, are the Monastère of Studenica, registered in 1986 on the Liste of the world heritage of UNESCO, and the medieval fortress of Maglič.

History

During the history, the town of Kraljevo was called Rudo Polje , Karanovac and Rankovićevo . Its current name, which means “the city of the king”, comes to him from the king Milan I {{er}} and was allotted to him in 1882.
