Koxy
Koxie , of its true name Laure Cohen (born the February 26th 1972 with Paris), is a French singer of Rap and Hip-hop, revealed by Internet in 2007 by its title Garçon .
Biography
Koxy follows as of the 12 years age of the courses of hip-hop and also of theater to the Cours Florent. At the 20 years age, it leaves to New York and follows over there a formation of actress to Herbert Bergoff Studio and dance to Broadway Dance Center. It turns over then to France and creates in 1998 the FAMED studio a training center with the trades of the spectacle which it directs during 8 years. It also creates its page MySpace with its first individual known Garçon under the title of Gare to the idiots . The song evokes, with humor, the aggravation of an young woman vis-a-vis the silly thing (sexism and vulgarity) of certain men (boys in the text). The piece is based on a sample Dr. DRE.It is a real success and the title is listened by more than one million Net surfers. It signs with the label AZ to leave its individual on June 25th, 2007. At the end of August, the individual one rises in first position of the official classification of the individual sales in France.
It is the subject then of sharp attacks on behalf of the radio presenter Difool on Skyrock while launching an anti-Koxie campaign. This one calls it on its personal telephone while passing the parody of the song to him, " Station with the tunas " , title carried out by a listener and diffused on YouTube.
Discography
In addition its album is likely to be withdrawn of the sales because of the title “Only With You”, it would have integrated the piece in its album without the rights of its author (Sinclair). The album will be republished in a version without this title.
