Koudougou

Koudougou is a city of the Burkina Faso, the third in population after Ouagadougou and Bobo Dioulasso (73 300 inhabitants in 1995). Prefecture of the department of the Boulkiemdé and capital of the area of the Mid-west. It is located at 75 km in the west of Ouagadougou, on the railway which connects the capital Burkinabe to the capital of the Ivory Coast Abidjan.

Koudougou accommodates each year a cultural festival baptized the “atypical Nuits of Koudougou”. The 8th edition took place from November 26th to 30th 2004.
