Kota

The kota (" ville" in Indonésien) is an administrative division of the 2nd level of the Indonesia. It is directed by a walikota or mayor, elected by the municipal Parliament.
Indonesia currently counts (2007) 91 kota .
The word comes from a word Sanscrit which means " forteresse" , that one finds for example in the name of the town of Calcutta in India
