Korkino
Korkino (in Russian: Ко́ркино) is a city of the Oblast de Tcheliabinsk, in Russia, and the administrative center of the Raïon of Korkinski. It is on the south-eastern slopes of the the Ural, to 42 km in the south of Tchéliabinsk. The population, which was of: 81400 inhabitants in 1959, fell to: 39400 inhabitants in 2006.
Korkino was initially a village of the same name, founded in second half of the 18th century. It accepted the statute of city the October 2nd 1942. Korkino is an important center of extraction of coal.
