Korkeasaari

Korkeasaari , in Swedish Högholmen (in French the high island ) is an island of the south of the Finland located in the Gulf of Bothnia, in the east of the downtown area of Helsinki. It is attached to the district Mustikkamaa-Korkeasaari and to the district of Kulosaari.

Of a surface of 22 hectares, it is known for its the Zoological gardens, largest of the country with more than 200 animal species and 1000 plant species.
