Korean federation for a movement ecologist

Principal defense organization of the environment in South Korea, the Federation Korean of the movements ecologists (FCEM, English acronym: KFEM, in Korean hoangyeong undong yeonhap ) is resulting from fusion, in 1993, several organizations created before.

Chaired by Choi Yul, the FCEM gathers 85.000 members in 47 regional branches. It counts an about sixty specialists.

Since June 1998, the FCEM is equipped with an advisory statute near the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations. For this reason, it took part in cooperation programs regional, in particular for the protection of the forest indonésienne.
