Korba

Korba (rear RTL قربة) is a city of the Littoral north-eastern of the Tunisia open on the Eastern frontage of the Cape Bon.

Attached administratively to the Governorship of Nabeul, it constitutes a municipality of 34.807 inhabitants.

Built with side of Hill, with 20 kilometers in the north of Nabeul, it is known for its long Plage S of fine Sable and the market gardenings and arboricolous of its surrounding countryside. Without being as important on the tourist level as Nabeul or Hammamet, the city shelters one of the most important vacation villages of the Club Med of the Années 1960 at the end of the Années 1980. It is called red city because of its agricultural specializations in the culture of the Tomate, the Piment and the strawberry. The Vigne is there also very present.

Korba occupies the site of the Roman city of Curubis from where it draws its name. It is set up in colony under Auguste at the 1st century. At the 17th century, it accommodates an surge of Morisque S of Andalusian origin which influences the labyrinthian layout of the streets of the downtown area.
